Comedian Redd Foxx (born: John Elroy Sanford), is best known for his role as Fred Sanford on the sitcom “Sanford and Son” and hailed as a pioneer in Black comedy. Foxx suffered a fatal heart attack while on the set of a 90’s sitcom, The Royal Family, in Los Angeles, California, a tragically ironic twist on his famous “Sanford and Son” riff, “Elizabeth, I'm comin' to join ya, honey!”
