This Day in Black History: Dec. 12, 1975

National Association of Black Journalists formed.

Forty-four men and women gathered to form The National Association of Black Journalists in Washington, D.C. on this day. NABJ is the largest organization of journalists of color in the United States. It aims to provide balanced coverage of the Black community and society as a whole.
