Administrators from a high school in Waverly, New York, are investigating an incident involving three white students who donned blackface and re-enacted the infamous 2009 domestic violence incident between Rihanna and Chris Brown at a school pep rally.

According to reports, the incident took place Friday before an audience of students, parents, administrators and alumni without interruption.

School district superintendent Joseph Yelich told local news outlet The Daily Review that administrators will meet Tuesday regarding the incident.

"The Waverly School District is committed to creating a positive atmosphere through our activities," Yelich told the paper. "I will be working with our building administrators, our staff and our students to examine our current activities and develop future activities consistent with our commitment."
