The first lady collected 900 gifts for needy children.
First Lady Michelle Obama may not have elves working for her at the White House, but she was able to collect 900 gifts for the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign.
Obama and Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, delivered "boxes and boxes" of gifts donated by White House staffers and American business CEOs from around the nation to the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling naval installation in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. The impressive haul also included gifts donated by daughters Malia and Sasha.
Noting that a Marine reservist and his wife created the annual toy drive, she said, "Military families are what inspires my work."
