Suspect Identified in New Orleans Mother's Day Shooting
New Orleans police and federal investigators have identified the suspect they believe opened fire at a Mother's Day parade, wounding 19 people.
Akein Scott, 19, was identified in several camera images by police who viewed blurry surveillance footage of the mass shooting.
Authorities are searching for Scott as of Tuesday morning after identifying him as the suspected shooter late Monday.
The teen has a record of previous arrests for firearms and drug charges.
New Orleans police chief Ronal Serpas is urging Scott to turn himself in. "We know more about you than you think we know," Serpas said at a news conference, according to the Associated Press.
Serpas added that it is too early to tell whether there were other shooters involved.
The New Orleans police department has set a $10,000 reward for Scott.
