A Bronx judge has dismissed the manslaughter charges against NYPD officer Richard Haste in the killing of unarmed teen Ramarley Graham.
The indictment was tossed because the assistant district attorney made a mistake when addressing the grand jury, the New York Daily News reports. The Graham family says they will continue in their fight for justice.
"If it means going back to the grand jury or if we have to ask the federal court to deal with this case, we are going to keep fighting no matter what," said Frank Graham, father of Ramarley Graham. "We will never stop until justice is served in this case - until Richard Haste goes to prison for murdering our son. If we start over, we will start stronger!"

The tragic chain of events began when police pursued Graham into his apartment during a drug-deal investigation.

Once inside, Haste insists, he identified himself as a cop and fired at Graham point-blank in the bathroom of his house after mistakenly believing he saw a gun, police officials said.

...

"This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice and an insult to the family and supporters of Ramarley Graham," said the Rev. Al Sharpton. "We demand that a new grand jury is convened immediately."
