16-Year-Old Stowaway Survives Flight in Plane's Wheel Well

A 16-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after he stowed away in the wheel of a flight from California to Hawaii on Sunday.

A 16-year-old boy is lucky to be alive, according to the FBI, after he stowed away in a plane wheel well during a flight from California to Hawaii on Sunday, according to the Associated Press.
The boy survived frigid temperatures at 38,000 feet and lack of oxygen, according to airline officials. He was unconscious for most of the 5 1/2 hour flight. After the plane landed at Maui airport, he began wandering around, when he was discovered by airport personnel.
The teen from Santa Clara, California, ran away from his family after an argument, according to the FBI. He has been medically screened and is reportedly unharmed. The boy will not be charged for his actions and was sent to child protective services.
