Pastor Jamal Bryant of Empowerment Temple, a church in Baltimore, is engulfed in controversy after he said, "These hoes ain't loyal," during a recent sermon he preached called "I'm My Enemies' Worst Nightmare."

The full video message was published online. But a clip of the pastor saying the lyric from a popular Chris Brown song called "Loyal" went viral in the past day. Before dropping the line, Bryant was speaking on what happens when a man has a woman of God versus what happens when "he runs off with a side-chick."

"If you got enough confidence to not be insecure and threatened about the woman God sent you — when she speaks, she is speaking from the voice of God for what she sees over your life," Bryant said.

"Every sister just elbow another sister and say, 'He should’ve listened!' Every brother would you tap another brother and say, 'I should have listened to her!' God help me, old saints forgive me, but I gotta tell you, 'These hoes ain’t loyal!'”

The already cheering congregation erupted in more applause.

Bryant responded to the criticism Wednesday morning on Twitter: "Don't critique a quote when you never heard message!" he tweeted. "20 seconds of a 30 minute message is incomplete assessment," he continued.
