Chicago Gun Violence: 3 Killed, 29 Injured This Past Weekend

This past weekend, three people were killed and 29 were injured in Chicago gun violence.

This past weekend, three people were killed and 29 were injured in gun violence in the Windy City, the Chicago Tribune reports.  
One of the victims, a 30-year-old man, was struck in the head 11:20 p.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Chicago police say. Authorities are still investigating his death.
On Saturday morning, Hezekiah Harper-Bey, 20, was shot in the face during a shooting in the West Garfield Park area. He was with three other men in a parked car when he was struck. Harper-Bey was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  
Another 20-year-old man was shot in the head and in the right arm at 9:20 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m, the Tribune reports. The name of the victim has not been released to the public.
There have been 273 victims of gun violence in Chicago in 2014, according to homicides tracked by Red Eye Chicago
