New Jersey Man Charged in Murder of Missing Wife
Family members of Erica Crippen, 26, are mourning the missing woman's death as New Jersey authorities charged her husband Kyle J. Crosby, 28, with murder Tuesday, Fox 29 reports.
Authorities found a reasonable amount of evidence in the trunk of his vehicle to bring Crosby in for questioning. He is being held on $1.2 million bail. Meanwhile, Crippen's body is still missing.
"We just want her at this point. We want her home safely but we know that deep down inside she's not alive," Sonia Ramos, Crippen's cousin said to Fox 29.
Crippen of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, was reported missing on Dec. 31. She went on a date with her husband on Dec. 30, according to a Facebook status. A bouncer at a restaurant said they got into an argument, stayed at the venue until it closed and that they left together.
On Jan. 10, Crosby was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after neglecting the couple's children when his wife went missing. The couple has a three-month-old daughter. Crippen has a seven-year-old from a previous relationship.
Authorities then followed up with a traffic stop on Crosby early Tuesday and took him into custody after finding items in his vehicle that connect him to the murder.
Crippen's family hopes that her body is found so that they may bury her.
