Chicago Gun Violence: 2 Dead, 5 Wounded This Past Weekend
The first weekend of February began with two men fatally shot and five people injured in Chicago gun violence, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
On Saturday morning, Savoy Young, 22, was found in an alley with several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
On Friday evening, Leanrew Harper, 34, was shot dead on his own block in the West Englewood neighborhood. He was struck several times and pronounced dead at the scene.
There have been 28 deaths due to gun violence in Chicago since 2015 began, according to Red Eye Chicago homicide tracker.
