Chicago Gun Violence: 2 Killed, 16 Injured This Past Weekend

Two people were killed and 16 were injured this past weekend in Chicago gun violence.

Two people were killed and 16 were injured in Chicago gun violence this past weekend, according to the Chicago Sun-Times

The victims were Jonathan Ramirez, 18, and Santos Bueno, 22, who were shot around 1:30 a.m. Saturday and succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. The men were both sitting in a vehicle when they were attacked. The incident may have been gang-related.

On Sunday, a 15-year-old boy was struck in the leg while riding in the passenger side of a SUV. He was taken to an area hospital and treated for his injuries.

So far, 49 people in Chicago have been killed in gun violence in 2015 according to data compiled by Red Eye Chicago homicide tracker.
