Chicago Gun Violence: 4 People Killed, 22 Injured This Past Weekend

This past weekend, four people were killed and 22 injured in gun violence in the Windy City.

This past weekend in Chicago ended with four people dead and 22 injured in gun violence. The youngest person hurt in the shootings was a 13-year-old boy, according to MyFoxChicago.com.

The most recent incident took place in the East Garfield neighborhood Sunday afternoon. Tim Triplett was shot multiple times and then taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Triplett was 20 years old.
On Saturday morning, Javente Linson, 18, was shot in the head and in the abdomen. His body was found in a "gangway" in the McKinley Park neighborhood. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday afternoon. A young woman named Nicole M. Towns was shot to death around 11 p.m. Friday night in Princeton Park after leaving a party. Authorities announced her death at the scene.

The fourth victim, Rashad A. Abdullah, was attacked by gunmen who walked up from behind him and began firing on Friday morning. The 26-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead approximately an hour later.
There have been 99 deaths to Chicago gun violence, according to data compiled by Red Eye Chicago homicide tracker.
