As the O’Jays once said: "Some people got to have it and some people really need it." This definitely would have been the O'Jays' dream scenario Thursday morning as a bag of money fell out of an armored car on Route 46 in Wayne, New Jersey.
Paul Redmond started his day as most Americans do walking across his job's parking lot. At that moment an armored car carrying stacks of money sped by. Redmond decided to follow the truck's trail, and that's when a sack full with $20 bills fell off the truck and onto the road.
“Take a look up and I see massive amounts of money flying down the highway,” Redmond told WCBS 880’s Kelly Waldron. “So I walk out a little further and you can see it’s just $20 bills all over the place.”
Traffic came to a screeching halt once motorists realized that money was on the road and up for grabs. According to New Jersey police, only some turned over the money to the authorities.
