14-Year-Old Charged With Murdering Pizza Guy After Showing Off Gun on Facebook

He'll be tried as an adult for the crime.

Reginald Lofton, 14 (above left), and Jermain Young, 21 (above right), have been charged with the murder of a pizza delivery man, Shane Varnadore, on March 1 in Georgia. Disturbing Facebook photos showing Lofton holding the gun that is believed to have been used to kill the Papa John's driver were presented during a court hearing in the case on Friday.
According to police, the two suspects are being tried as adults for felony murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery:

Investigators say that they believe 28-year-old Varnadore was set up. Being called to deliver pizza by the two suspects, simply to be robbed. "It was a set up for him to come to that location and that is ultimately when he was shot and killed," local police Cpl. Deon Washington told WSB-TV 2.

Teresa Varnadore, mother of Shane, spoke to WSB-TV 2 saying, "It's been a lot to process over a short period of time. I'm glad they got the guys who did this and it's terrible that three people's lives have been ruined over [a] stupid act." Sources told WSB-TV 2  that Young and Lofton had moved to Gwinnet County to escape their criminal pasts in Chicago. And according to the local news channel, Young has 22 criminal cases connected to his name, including drug charges, robbery, domestic violence, and aggravated battery.

"I want to face the person who could do this to my son," Varnadore said. "His life was taken for absolutely no reason. I can't imagine what my life is going to be like without my son."
