Jared Fogle, the disgraced former Subway spokesman, is asking an appeals court to throw out his 15.6 year sentence for engaging in child porn and child prostitution. The prosecution responded by submitting Fogle's text messages to a female pimp that display the extent of his depravity and crime.
"Is your Asian friend available?" one text read. He added, "I'll pay you big for a 14 or 15-year-old." When the pimp asks Fogle why he is willing to pay up to $400 for "young girls," he responds, "Cause it's what I crave."
TMZ reported that Fogle is claiming that the judge should not have sentenced him more than the max sentence in his plea deal, which was 12.5 years. The U.S. Attorney General, however, filed a request to sentence Fogle to an even harsher sentence.
So far, 14 victims have been identified, including 12 victims of child pornography and two victims of child prostitution.
Fogle's appeal for a reduced sentence may be a product of a recent prison beatdown in which a fellow inmate said the former-spokesman was lucky to walk away from with his life.
