Major Feels: Watch President Obama Adorably Serenade Malia for Her 18th Birthday

Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monae provided moral support.

First daughter Malia Obama celebrated her 18th birthday over the weekend and was serenaded by her father, Barack Obama, alongside rapper Kendrick Lamar and singer Janelle Monae.

While Obama was definitely not the greatest musical talent on the stage, it was an adorable moment shared between father and daughter.

By celebrating her 18th birthday, Malia is definitely entering the next stage of her life. While she plans to attend Harvard University in 2018, she will first take a gap-year and enjoy a much-needed break from the life of first daughter.

Sunday was all about her birthday, with the president joking from the stage, "Because it's a job of fathers to embarrass their daughters, I've got one last job," as the audience began to applaud. "It just so happens we celebrate our country's birthday on the same day as my oldest daughter's birthday, so just a quick happy birthday for Malia," he said before breaking into song.

By the end of the song, both Lamar, Monae and the large crowd were singing together to wish Malia a happy birthday, picking up the slack when President Obama's voice cracked and croaked.
Of course, it was a joint birthday party, as Malia shares the date with the United States of America. The annual picnic barbecue to celebrate Independence Day was, unfortunately, canceled due to inclement weather, but the president and first lady Michelle Obama decided to move the festivities indoors.

Just another adorable moment from our favorite first family.
