As the French city of Nice tried to celebrate their nation's Bastille Day, an apparent terrorist attack occured when a large truck rammed into a large group of people watching fireworks, killing at least 73 and injuring over 100.
French media is covering unconfirmed reports that ISIS has claimed responsibility for the second devastating attack in France in the last year.
Witnesses say that the truck targeted large groups of people, adding that gunshots later rangout with gunment targeting hotels and cafes in the city. He was later shot dead by local police.
Police also reportedly found more weapons and explosives in the truck, pointing to the fact that this attack could have been even more devastating than it was.
Around the same time, a large fire erupted near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, causing panic. It is not yet known if these two incidents are linked in any way.
While the still unidentifed driver of the truck has been shot and killed, police now believe that they had an accomplice, and they are searching desperately for them.
This is a developing story and we will update as more information comes in.
