Gotta Lose 'Em All: New York Man Slims Down While Becoming First Pokémaster to Catch Every Pokémon

Details on how he did it.

Ever since the launch of the app Pokémon Go, fans everywhere have been out and about attempting to catch them all. Needless to say it was just a matter of time until someone successfully caught every Pokémon character in the game.

Brooklyn resident Nick Johnson has recently become the first Pokémaster to catch all the Pokémon.

When asked how he completed such a feat, Johnson explained that he walked approximately eight miles a day, every day, for two weeks straight. And just as you’d expect, the 28-year-old became healthier in the process.

Johnson gained a new sense of recognition and lost about 10 pounds in that time.

“I work 50 hour weeks, sometimes more,” Johnson wrote. “So I do that during the week, and then after that, I would go out at about 6 p.m. and stay out basically until I had to go home and pass out.”

He caught nearly all of them in New York City, with the exception of Dratini and Porygon, which he found in New Jersey.

Moral of the story, you can start your fitness journey in more ways than one. Maybe Chris Christie should download the game, and he can kill two birds with one stone: become a healthier version of himself and actually spend some time in New Jersey.
