Look: The Top Five Empowering Moments From Michelle Obama's DNC Speech

FLOTUS is the best to ever do it.

Last night at the Democratic National Convention, Michelle Obama brought down the house with one of the most powerful speeches we've ever heard — from anyone, anywhere, period — as she voiced her support for Hillary Clinton. But her words were as much a full-throated support of the history-making presidential candidate as they were a sharp indictment of her opponent, Donald Trump.
M.O. managed to eviscerate Trump without hardly ever saying his name, making it perfectly clear how his campaign of fear and hate is and will continue to negatively affect the country and — most importantly — our children.
And then, there was the line that had everyone, especially Black folks, leaping off their couches and throwing their fists in the air.
Here are the top five quotes from the first lady's incredible speech (Melania Trump, you might wanna write this down):

No. 5: "The kind of president that I want for my girls and all children, it's someone who takes the job seriously, someone who understands that the issues a president faces are not black and white and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters."

No. 4: "Because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all of our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States."

No. 3: "When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level. No, our motto is, when they go low, we go high."

No. 2: "So don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again. Because this right now is the greatest country on earth!"

#1: "That is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves. And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent, Black young women playing with their dogs on the White House lawn."
