Watch Angela Rye Shut Down Racist Comments From Trump's Former Campaign Manager With a 'Boy, Bye'

Can someone please give her a show already?

It’s not often that you watch a news network for the slight chance that a certain correspondent will grace the screen for a few minutes. However, Angela Rye has changed that for all of us.

If you don’t know Angela from her incredibly strong arguments made on CNN, then you might recognize her from famously rolling her eyes during the Democratic National Convention while a conservative reporter talked about all the wonderful things Donald Trump does in his free time.

For some, that was enough to make Angela Rye the new bae of cable news, yet for those of you that still need convincing, just check out this wonderful clip of Angela shutting down Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, with a Beyoncé lyric.

The video shows Lewandowski seemingly supporting Trump’s racist ideas regarding the birther movement. A few years ago, Donald Trump insisted that President Obama show his birth certificate to prove he is in fact an American. After the POTUS did so, even though he had no obligation to, Trump then insisted that he show his Harvard transcripts to prove that he was not admitted on some international affirmative action program.

When Angela brought this up, Lewandowski walked right into her web when he asked, “Did he ever show those transcripts?”

This was enough to set Angela and another panel member off. She explained the racism and disrespect demonstrated when someone like Donald Trump undermines the accomplishments of the first Black president. And when Lewandowski still didn’t seem to understand, she hit him with a “boy, bye.”

Her wonderful use of a Lemonade lyric was enough to make other members on the panel smile, even though they tried to hold their composure.

Now, the only question that still remains: when is CNN going to give Angele Rye her own show? This is just a suggestion, but maybe they can call it Boy, Bye With Angela Rye. Come on CNN, we’re counting on you.
