SMDH: Life Insurance Manager Fired for Telling Black Lives Matter Activist to Die

He's clearly in the wrong line of the work.

Corey Multer, a managing director at one of the largest life insurance companies in the United States, New York Life, has been fired after telling a Black Lives Matter activist to die.

Multer was fired after he contacted Shanelle Matthews on Facebook and called her a "racist pig whore" before telling her, "The world would be a much better place if you jumped in front a movie train. Die!"

Matthews took to Facebook to address the controversy stating that she believes Multer reacted in such a way because of her stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"What Mr. Multer's vicious remarks actually say is that my values and beliefs are not only wrong and unvalued but that I deserve to die because of them," Matthews said. “We all have a moral and ethical responsibility to hold accountable those who use rhetoric to incite unprovoked violence, to affirm that a grievance of disagreement does not warrant a death wish, and that people’s sexual proclivities don’t make them disposable.”

New York Life has since taken to Twitter to ask Shanelle for more information regarding the online interaction.

New York Life made the right, and only, decision in firing Multer, who has not made any public comment or apology regarding the incident. But it certainly sounds like he doesn't value life enough to be in his current line of work.
