As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, families have begun making plans for the major holiday. For Nick Denbow and his family in Ohio, this year's festivities will be hosted at their house.

To prepare for the large gathering this year, Nick's mother, Michele Keylor, went the extra mile to make sure her home stays in pristine condition.

  1. One day Nick came home to a note announcing the living room is off limits.
  2. The note explained that permission to enter the living room will only occur if Nick and his brother are showered and their clothes are laundered.
  3. Upon seeing the note, Nick shared the photo to Twitter and it has since received 32,000 likes.

17-year-old Nick told BuzzFeed News that he is sure his mom isn't 100 percent serious about closing the room, she just wants him and his brother to be more mindful.

“She’s mostly joking about ‘closing’ it haha,” he told BuzzFeed. “She just wants us to keep it clean and decided that putting a sign and tape up would make that clear.

  4. When people on Twitter saw Nick's post, they praised his mother for acting like a boss.
  5. And some were inspired to do the same when they become parents.
