  1. An infant died as a result of a protest of a police involved shooting in Baltimore, said officials.

On Friday, Baltimore police shot an unidentified homeless man with a knife. After the shooting, a small group of protesters took to Greenmount Avenue.

  2. During the protests, a group of about 30 people, including the baby's mother, approached Major Richard Gibson to inform him of an unresponsive infant.
  3. Activist Duane G. Davis captured the moment after Major Gibson tried to save the baby.
  4. The baby was later transported to a local hospital, where it was pronounced dead.
  5. Although there are many tensions between the Baltimore police and the community, Major Gibson was labeled a hero for his attempt.
