Kellyanne Conway Finally Admits She 'Has No Evidence' Obama Used Televisions or Microwaves to Spy on Trump Tower

The White House counselor backpedaled after making the ridiculous claim about wiretapping.

After making a claim that suggested extreme surveillance measures were used to wiretap Trump Towers, Kellyanne Conway has walked back on her comments.

In an interview with the Bergen County Record, the White House counselor was specifically asked about the claims made by Trump's administration regarding wiretapping from former President Obama. In her answer, Conway referred to the recent Wikileaks dump that alluded to CIA spy techniques using televisions and other household technology.

‘‘You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways," Conway told the Bergen County reporter on Sunday. She went on to say that "microwaves that turn into cameras" could be used to spy on someone.

After she made her remarks, many assumed she suggested the Obama administration used televisions and other devices to listen to conversations held in Trump Tower. During the Monday morning news circuit, Conway backtracked.

  • While on 'Good Morning America,' Conway told George Stephanopoulos she was referring to the news about wiretapping in general

While on Good Morning America, Conway admitted that she has no evidence behind the accusations she previously made.

  • Later on, Conway told CNN's Chris Cuomo that she doesn't believe people are 'using microwaves to spy on the Trump campaign'
