After receiving well deserved backlash from the public, O’Reilly issued an official apology
"As I have said many times, I respect Congresswoman Maxine Waters for being sincere in her beliefs. I said that again today on Fox & Friends, calling her 'old school.' Unfortunately, I also made a jest about her hair which was dumb. I apologize,” said Bill O'Reilly in a statement sent to BET News.
However, during an appearance on 'All in With Chris Hayes,' Rep. Waters did not seem affected by O’Reilly’s comments or his halfhearted apology
As a strong Black woman who has always voiced her opinions, Rep. Waters has been subjected to racism and sexism at the hands of Conservative dissenters.
