Sean Spicer Offers Apology for Hitler Comment Saying He 'Was Obviously Trying to Make a Point'

The press secretary controversially suggested Assad was worse than Adolph.

Update April 12:

After making an egregious remark comparing Bashar al-Assad to Hitler and claiming Hitler never used chemical weapons, press secretary Sean Spicer offered an apology.

Previous April 11:

The Tuesday press briefing did not go exactly as press secretary Sean Spicer probably hoped. After a question about Syria and the use of chemical weapons, Spicer offered a confusing statement that more or less suggested Hitler was a lesser evil than Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

When Spicer was asked to clarify his statements, things took a turn for the worse.

  • In defending Trump's decision to retaliate against Assad's use of chemical weapons, Spicer suggested that not even Hitler used chemical warfare against his own people

  • Although it seems Spicer forgot that Hitler used gas chambers to kill millions of Jews during the holocaust

  • When asked to clarify the statement about chemical attacks, Spicer stuck his foot in his mouth again by referring to Concentration Camps as 'Holocaust Centers'

  • From his chemical attack blunder to misnaming Concentration Camps, people didn't know where to begin with Spicer

  • Spicer was slammed for his misinformation regarding the terrible practices of Hilter

  • He was dragged for using the term 'holocaust centers'

  • In the competition for the worst public move in history, Spicer easily defeats Pepsi and United
