Wanda Sykes and Others Go in on Trump for Laughing Off Obama's Mike Flynn Warning
Just hours before former acting Attorney General Sally Yates went before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee to testify about former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn and his communication with Russia, NBC News revealed Trump was warned not to hire Flynn.
According to NBC, during their first meeting in the oval office, former President Obama advised President Trump against hiring Mike Flynn as his national security adviser. Obama — who fired Flynn in 2014 — reportedly warned the president that Flynn's relationship with Russia could compromise his ability to do his job.
During his press briefing, Sean Spicer suggested the warning possibly came because Flynn has publicly opposed Obama. Another senior Trump administration official said Obama's remark "seemed like it was made in jest" according to NBC.
Wanda Sykes and others could not believe the Trump administration suggested the warning was made in "jest"
To many, it seems ridiculous for Trump to laugh off a warning suggesting Flynn could pose a threat to national security
Judging by Donald Trump's idea of a joke, his dismissal of Obama's warning seems less unbelievable
