Police Open Fire on Black Men Shooting Music Video Mistaken for a Carjacking

Authorities received calls about people breaking into an Aston Martin.

Police in Detroit opened gunfire during the filming of a music video because they believed there was a carjacking taking place.  

  • According to Detroit Rap News, police started shooting during the filming of a music video for rapper Nyce Greedy.

    On Saturday afternoon, police reportedly received calls about what looked like the carjacking of an Aston Martin on Six Mile Road, reported WWJ.

  • An eyewitness recorded a brief moment from the scene

    After police arrived, they started shooting at two men who appeared to be holding guns. The men then explained they were shooting a music video, yet there were no permits to film, said police.  

    No one was hit or injured as a result of the shooting. The men involved in the music video were then taken into police custody. Police are investigating the incident.
