As the case surrounding the death of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins continues, people in Chicago and around the country have started to demand answers and transparency when it comes to the investigation.
The death of the teen, who was found inside a hotel freezer after going missing, has created more questions. Jenkins' mother did not believe police when they said she let herself into the freezer and she also suspected her daughter's friends were not being forthcoming with all the details.
Jenkins's mother, Tereasa Martin, said the stories from the friends who also attended the party with Kenneka were not consistent. This led her and others to suspect foul play.
Since the investigation into Jenkins' death began, videos from Facebook Live and Snapchat that were taken the night of the party have gone viral on social media. The videos, along with the surveillance footage, which has not been publicly released, has caused people to protest her death.
