Mother Furious That Man Who Called Her 12-Year-Old Son 'N****r' And Knocked His Teeth Out Won't Be Arrested

Vincent Cerfalo, 27, said he was acting in self defense.

A Florida mother is dissatisfied with the lack of punishment a 27-year-old man received after punching her 12-year-old child in the face, knocking out his front teeth.

“I want the man in jail," Brittany Graham said of the man who assaulted her son and called him racial slurs.

According to Malikai Villatte, 12, the assault took place when he and some friends were playing the street in front of Vincent Cerfalo’s home.

“He was screaming at us, cursing at us, calling us the 'n-word' and he came down to the middle of his yard, and I was like, 'Who are you talking to,' and he said, 'Come within arm's reach and I'll show you who I'm talking to,'" Villatte told Fox 4 Now. “When I realized my teeth were dangling in my mouth it was kind of shocking, I didn't know what was going on.”

Although Malikai suffered extensive physical harm, Cerfalo was not arrested and the 12-year-old’s parents are very upset.

“Where it is OK for an adult to take the law into their own hands, and to strike a kid hard enough to knock out his teeth. Where is that acceptable, in what country is that acceptable?" Larry Graham, Malikai’s father, asked Fox 4 Now.

However, Cerfalo claimed he was only acting in self-defense against the group of minors.

“I told them to back off and if they come on my property I'm going to defend myself. They said, 'You won't hit us, you won't hit us,' and they started to surround me," Cerfalo told Fox 4 Now.

He says it all started when he yelled at the kids to get out of the road because they were blocking traffic.

The children dispute Cerfalo’s allegations and say no one touched Cerfalo at any time during the incident.

The case has been sent to the State Attorney’s Office, which will determine if a summons will be issued to Malikai for assault.
