Ex-Georgia Cop Admits to Not Arresting Women in Exchange for Sex
Javier Garces was sentenced to almost three years of probation and 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to making two women perform oral sex on him in exchange for not arresting them.
A former Georgia police officer pleaded guilty Monday to making two women perform oral sex on him in exchange for not arresting them, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Javier Garces was sentenced to almost three years of probation and 30 days in jail.
Garces pleaded guilty to two counts of sodomy for the incidents that occurred in 2009 and one count of violating his oath of office and now has to register as a sex offender, according to the district attorney’s office.
“Garces’ actions were inexcusable and unacceptable for a sworn officer charged with keeping peace and justice. Instead of upholding his oath of office, he preyed on the very people he was tasked to protect,” District Attorney Robert James said.
