Casey Anthony\r - On Tuesday, Casey Anthony may have been found not guilty on a count of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, but many mothers have been found guilty. 2001: Andrea Yates - Andrea Yates drowned her five children in her Houston, Texas, bathtub in 2001. She then laid them side by side in bed.  Yates' 2002 capital murder conviction was overturned by an appeals court because of false testimony by the state's expert psychiatric witness. In 2006  a Texas jury found that Yates was not guilty by reason of insanity. She was committed by the court to the North Texas State Hospital, Vernon Campus, where she was a roommate of Dena Schlosser, who had killed her infant daughter. However, due to prosecutorial misconduct, that verdict was overturned and a new trial ordered. In May 2011 she was found guilty of aggravated murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
