The National September 11 Memorial and Museum

Perhaps the most famous of memorials is at the site of Ground Zero in Manhattan. Plans for the National September 11 Memorial and Museum have been underway for a decade. The memorial honors the 3,000 people killed and features twin reflecting pools — nearly an acre in size — and the largest manmade waterfalls in North America.
