Civil Rights Leaders and Athletes Rally for Trayvon Martin
Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson and Benjamin Crump, the attorney for the Trayvon Martin family, joined demonstrators in the march. "Trayvon is dead and can't defend himself,” Crump told Sanford city commissioners. “Had Zimmerman not disobeyed the police dispatcher and got out of his car and pursued Trayvon, Trayvon would still be living today."
