Occupy Wall Street

Deemed as the pioneering city of the movement that organized protests against corporate excess and economic inequality, Occupy Wall Street camps in New York have been dismantled, as it was required by city law that the camp be torn down over the past few months.

Defying the law, eight people were arrested Wednesday after a group of demonstrators took their sleeping bags to Zuccotti Park after midnight in preparation for the largest 2012 rally to date opposing rising college tuition costs.
