Neck-and-Neck
Like Mitt Romney, voters in crucial battleground states think that President Obama is a nice guy. But until they see some real change in the economy, they're keeping an open mind, according to an NBC News/Marist poll published May 31. Voters in Iowa, Nevada and Colorado said they had a favorable view of Obama by 48 percent, 47 percent and 48 percent, respectively, compared to 34 percent, 43 percent and 44 percent who view Romney the favorably. In those same states, Obama won 44 percent, 48 percent and 46 percent of support, and is in a statistical tie with his Republican rival.
