The Rise of the Machines
Under Obama’s FAA Modernization and Reform Act, the Federal Aviation Administration is developing a plan to integrate unmanned aircrafts, or drones, into the national airspace by 2015, but many motorists are unhappy about how they could be used. In a June 12 Monmouth University poll, 67 percent of people said drones shouldn’t be used to issue speeding tickets, but agreed they should help track illegal immigration (64 percent), locate criminals (67 percent) and assist on rescue missions (80 percent).
