Democratic Downers

Bad news on the Democratic front: The results of a Gallup poll published last week shows that Democrats' enthusiasm has sharply declined since 2008. The poll found that just 39 percent say they are "more enthusiastic about voting than usual" in the 2012 election than they were in 2004 and 2008. Conversely, 51 percent of Republicans are significantly more enthusiastic than they were in 2008 and feeling the excitement of 2004. (Photo: Spencer Platt/Getty Images)
