What Is Stop-and-Frisk?
A stop-and-frisk procedure gives police officers legal grounds to question and even pat down the outer clothing of an individual if the officer has reasonable suspicion to believe they may be carrying an illegally obtained weapon or have committed or are about to commit a crime.
