In a Gallup survey of more than 120,000 people — the organization's largest on record — 3.4 percent of respondents said "yes" when asked if they identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. The survey results, released on Oct. 18, reported that 4.6 percent of African-Americans identified as LGBT compared to 3.2 percent of whites, 4.0 percent of Latinos and 4.3 percent of Asians.
