Courting the Religious Vote

While the presidential candidates' own religious beliefs have played a smaller role in the 2012 race, President Obama leads Mitt Romney among Latino Catholics (73 percent to 19 percent, respectively) and evangelical Protestants (50 percent to 39 percent, respectively), according to a Pew survey released on Oct. 18.
