A Troubling Issue
Many of our U.S. military personnel suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are doing so in silence, according to a poll from the Emerson College Polling Society released on Dec. 12. About 20 percent of service members returning from deployment said they are affected by the disorder, but 46 percent said they were not seeking counseling to cope with the symptoms.
