In 1999, Franklin Raines crashes through the glass ceiling to become the first African-American CEO of a Fortune 500 Company and ushers in an era of African-American executive prominence (including Richard Parsons, former CEO of Time Warner) that climaxes with at least five major companies being headed by Blacks at the same time.
