Raising Wage

In his State of the Union address, Obama proposed increasing the minimum wage from $7.25 to $9 an hour. A majority of Americans agree with him. In a USA Today/Pew Research Center poll released Feb. 20, 71 percent backed the measure, including 87 percent of Democrats, 68 percent of independents and 50 percent of Republicans.
