It's not easy being a middle-aged person with aging parents and children of any age. But more are feeling the pinch of being in the middle. Forty-seven percent of adults in their 40s and 50s are financially supporting a young child or a young adult child and 15 percent are providing support to both an aging parent and a child, according to a Pew Research Center survey released on Jan. 30.
