Order a Home Inspection

Don’t buy a house without having it inspected first – even if you’re buying it “as is” (meaning, the seller isn’t willing to make any repairs). For $200-$400, a home inspector will give the home a thorough once over and fill out a detailed report on everything from the roof to the plumbing to individual electrical outlets. With this information in hand, you’ll be able to make a more informed buying decision. You can find home inspectors on the American Society of Home Inspectors’ (ASHI) website here.
