St. Augustine's University Nixes Tennis and Golf Programs

Saint Augustine's University, an HBCU in North Carolina, announced recently that it has discontinued its men's golf and women's tennis programs. "We are no different than any other institution facing difficult choices due to the economic downturn. We are looking for both sports to return in the near future, however," Athletic Director George Williams said in a statement. (Photo: Courtesy of Saint Augustine University)
