James Ward, 19, has been homeless since the age of 14 in the state of California but has managed to raise more than $12,000 for his first year at Howard University. By launching an online campaign called “Homeless to Howard,” Ward raised nearly $2,100 after the first day. (Photo: Homelesstohoward.tumblr.com)
