I have never in my entire life seen my community in Harlem acting like their lives depended on [attending the march]. I've seen so much, but to see little kids and old folks saying, "See you in Washington!" even though they didn't know how they'd get there. I'm looking at these old people and guess what: they were there! The unions had vehicles and said, "If you don't know how you're going to get there, meet us on 25th Street and 7th Avenue."
